We are delighted to offer a select trio of stores for the 2021 Goffs Land Rover Sale, with all three going through the ring on Tuesday.
First up is Lot 78 a homebred gelding by MONTMARTRE and the only progeny of the Group 1 Winner catalogued in the sale. He is the first foal out of the Sir Percy mare Lady Denisa who is a half-sister to Grade 2 Winning hurdler Zamdy Man, who like this gelding is by a son of Montjeu, and the Grade 1 placed Clyne. It is a high-class German family; under the third dam are Group 1 Deutsches Derby Winners Laccario and Lando, an influential sire.
Lot 104 is a homebred son of KALANISI, bred on the same cross as Kalashnikov, Kalane and Brain Power. He is a half-brother to two winners this year and comes from a really deep NH family. His dam is an Old Vic half-sister to Irish Grand National Winner Niche Market while his second dam is a half-sister to Charlie Hall Chase Winner Strath Royal and to the second dam of last season’s Newbury Grade 3 Ladbroke Trophy Winner Cloth Cap. Under his fourth dam is Ginger McCain’s other Grand National Winner Amberleigh House.
MOUNT NELSON is one of the most popular stallions in the sale with 31 progeny catalogued and we offer a homebred gelding out of a mare who has a terrific strike rate with eight winners from eight runners so far with the lastest, Chasamax winning as recent as Thursday (3rd June) in Uttoxeter over hurdles. Lot 158 is out of Peratus who has produced the Grade 2 winning hurdler Kyrie Eleison and the Australian Listed placed stayer Mirimar to Kalanisi.
